Soooo Tired

I have been prescribed 25MG of Metoprolol Tart 2X a day for a few years now, don't know exactly when I started, but at first I thought I was somewhat tired, but recently I am very tired and have no mental focus, I even had a co-worker say that I look tired and just this morning my hairdresser said the same. I have been trying to eat a better diet and taking more vitamins, but I am even more tired. Maybe I am finally feeling the side affects and my body is saying no to this medication? I experimented recently with supplements to get my BP down and I found taking magnesium really helped. I would like to get off this medication!

Have you consulted your doctor and what have your BP levels been?

The tiredness could be from the medication, or it could be due to several other reasons, such as your BP being too high or too low, it could also be due to dehydration.

If you are dehydrated, that would also explain why the magnesium helped, because if it's too low it can cause BP fluctuations and electrolyte imbalances.
