This tablet is manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 500mgs of Methocarbamol, which is a generic for Robaxin. The FDA classifies this medication as a muscle relaxant and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. I take soma 350mg 3 times a day and narco 750mg 4 times a day. i have to take a urine test in a week. I have them in my system now. can I save my urine now and take the test next week? if I keep it in the fridge will it show up for a pain management urine test ## That is 3000 mg of Tylenol alone per day for your NORCO. Have your liver checked out. You ask about saving your Urine? You can try and not pee for a week and sure you can refrigerate it although I'd ask why as it won't change things. Metaxolone (Skelaxin) isn't either. Carisoprodol (Soma) is the only similar agent that is currently scheduled (Sched IV). ## They are both muscle relaxants, but the Soma is the strongest that is currently available in this category. Is Methocarbamol the same medication as Soma? ## It is Robaxin, a muscle relaxer. From what I see they are nothing like Soma. ## @Cindy, Both Soma (carisoprodol) and Robaxin (methocarbamol) are listed as muscle relaxers. From what I've read, both drugs also reportedly work in the same way - by blocking nerve impulses / pain sensations that are sent to the brain. However with regards to potency/efficacy I'm not sure how they compare, so you may have to discuss that with your prescribing doctor if it's something you're interested in trying. Hope this helps!

small round pill, tannish in color.outside coating can be peeled off with fingerrnail. all white inside. no imprint on either side ## I'm sorry, but if there is no imprint, it will be impossible to positively identify, unless you would pay to have it lab tested. I had gastric bypass in 2010 and am considered a rapid metabolizer for opiates. I have 5 herniated discs in my lower back and nerve disease and stay in constant pain. I have been to 9 pain management docs bc no one wants to take on my case and is scared to prescribed the amounts of medication I need to get through the day. I have tried physical therapy, injections and acupuncture all to no avail. I have a great doc now who is at least trying to help me and currently has me on dilaudid, soma, Lyrica, and suboxone patches most are three and six times daily. I have 5 children and that allows me to function daily with less pain than without. With the metabolizing issue I have no side effects or withdrawal symptoms when taken off, only with the soma I had to cut down to 1/2 of 350 mg 3 times...

I believe it is soma has Merck and a split line on opposite sides. Unable to identify the pill and would like to know what it is. Large pill white and round. Are pro soma Any good and are they better than pain o soma ? I've taken dans, v's, etc. ## In my findings, both "pro-soma" and "pain-o-soma" contain the same active ingredient (Carisoprodol) in 350mg to 500mg dosage strengths. Other dosages may be available as well but those are the two options I'm presently aware of for these specific brand names. That said, I don't see why one would work any better or worse than the other unless certain inactive ingredients affected their bioavailability. Nevertheless, because we all react/respond differently to the same meds, trial and error may be only way to find out for certain which one works best for you. I have lower back pain deg fiscs none of the surgeons recommend this surgery however none will prescribe pain meds anyone in springfield massachusetts ## Hi Jessi, Surgery is the last option, if you only have pain in your lower back, surgery will not help. Have you and your doctor talked about muscle relaxers, like Soma or Flexeril? There are many non surgical that can help a lot. Seeing an OT doctor works wonders, using a TENS unit, steroids by mouth. Hi, everyone. I am a pain sufferer for over 7 years now. Due to misplaced drill while getting my wisdom teeth out. I have been to many pain clinics tried just about everything. I have not tried Soma's. I know a different drug name in Canada but Ambien in USA. I can't take those. 15 years of every benzo and Z drugs no way. Sleep walking,talking, eating. Everything bad possible and never remember my wife video taped it. Never took the drug again. Where could I go to in Las Vegas. Were I don't mind urine, contract everything you could think off. I have been taking 350MG soma/carisoprodol AND 2MG Xaxax since I had a neck fusion 10 years ago (permantly disabeled now).For some reason my dr. changed my medication to Valium.the valium is not controlling my muscle spasms.I have a drug test in 2 weeks and I had to take some soma.will this show up on my drug tests.If he doesnt change it back I have to find a new DR.Can you answer this question for sure?I may have to order online.My arms,neck and aspecially my back is in chronic pain constantly. ## The active ingredient has similar properties although they are two different types of medicine. I take soma, lortab, trazadone, buspar, Vistaril, Zoloft, melatonin, valerian root, naproxen, and occasionally Benadryl. I showed up benzos in my drug test and my doctor uses a good test, so I am puzzled. Would any of these make me show for having benzos on my test. ## Yes trazadone is the culprit ..happened to me a few times .. SOMA (muscle relaxant)... I have been on disability since 2009 (in pain years before) for degenerative back disease, sever arthritis and neuropathy. I live in Volusia county and the doctors are very against SOMA. I have been on Soma since 2006 and it is the only relaxant the work for me immediately during an episode. I am sooooo tired of being prescribed many other medications (some of which do more harm than good). can you take hydrocodone with robaxin? ## Soma and Robaxin are not the same thing. Soma contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol, while Robaxin contains the active ingredient Methocarbamol. Both are muscle relaxants, by they are different medications that are different in potency. The tablet you listed with the 4211 V marking contains 500mgs of Methocarbamol, which is a generic for Robaxin. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. As to taking them together, you can as long as your doctor approves, but both can increase sedation, so you may experience more dizziness and drowsiness than usual. it
