Smz Tmp Ds - Bactrim Generic - Ip 272 Vs H 49 Pill - Same?
UpdatedPill imprint H 49 has been identified as Sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim 800 mg / 160 mg, is this the same as the pill IP 272? I ask because I have been using the IP 272 pill for 7 years, and my pharmacy just filled it with the H 49 version. Same strength? same drug? Please advise

Yes, they both contain the same medications in the same dosages.
It is completely normal for your pharmacy to switch which manufacturers product they have on hand, depending on who was offering the cheapest price, at the time they needed to restock their supply.
