bought 4 small, pale yellow pills from a friend who said they were 'trip' ones. it has DE 100 on one side and a large capital G on the other. can anyone tell me what they are? thanks!

that sounds about the closest description of it yet! thanks so much for your effort! but all that medical jargon confuses me slightly, so - can anyone tell me if this drug is used recreationally? my friend seemed to think it could be, but after reading it, it doesn't seem that way.
girlgirl,
I may have good news for the pills identity :)
I was scrounging around google for a while and found this:
Doxylin 100 mg - round, yellow tablet marked "DE" over "100" one side and "G" on the reverse. Doxylin 100 tablets contain 100 mg of doxycycline.
Doxylin tablets also contain the following inactive ingredients:
• cellulose - microcrystalline
• starch - pregelatinised maize
• silica - colloidal anhydrous
• magnesium stearate
• lactose
• hypromellose
• macrogol 4000
• titanium dioxide
• quinoline yellow CI47005
• sunset yellow FCF CI15985
• indigo carmine CI73015.
Doxycycline is frequently used to treat chronic prostatitis, sinusitis, syphilis, chlamydia, pelvic inflammatory disease, acne, rosacea, and Rickettsial infections.
Doxylin is made in Australia by:
Alphapharm Pty Limited

Let me know if that description doesn't fit your pill 100% and i'll keep on the look out!
i'm not overtly good friend's with this person, otherwise i would have pushed them to tell me what they were. but, after you not being to find anything, and nor i, i'm a bit skeptical of them. what sort of procedure would i have to go through if i took them to the pharmacist?
This pill isn't listed in the prescription drug databases, so I can't find any information on it. Since you bought these pills from a friend, they could literally be anything. I think it would be wise to take the pills to your local pharmacy to see if they can determine what may be the active ingredient(s). Do you even know where your friend got them from? Too risky in my opinion. If you know your friend really really well, then you should know what his or her selling intentions are and what these pills are really for. Saying that they are "trip" ones only indicates that they are some sort of party drug.
