Small Yellow Oval Pill With 40 Printed In Black On One Side, No Other Markings

I have some pills they are football shaped and are light beige they say 40 in black on one side but have no other markings. What are they please?

I'm sorry, but I can't find a listing in any of our resources for a pill that meets this description and has just the number 40 on it.

Where was it found/obtained? Do you have any other information on it?

If there is nothing else to the imprint, this leads me to believe that it is, more than likely, something available over the counter. However, there is also a small chance that it might be a foreign medication.

Does anyone recognize this tablet?

i have them too, but they are supposed to be my refill of Protonix. However, I had some reaction after taking them for several nights, which leads me to believe they are not Protonix 40 mgs. They also have a black banana-looking thing next to the black 40 number. They are manufactured - it says - by Actavis. However, also the bottle says (and all prior meds of Protonix were this) that there should be a 40 imprint (not black lettering) on one side with the logo on the other side. These are NOT how they look at all, and my Protonix never looked like these.

my mom also has these and swears they are different from her usual protonix and wont take them.
