I was prescribed Sinvastatin a year ago (40mg) and now I have alopeca, never had this til I took these pills. I notice that this is a side effect. Will my hair grow back, it is so embarrassing to try to keep the bald patch covered. I have now been taken off this medication.

If it was really caused by the medication, then yes there is a good chance that your hair will grow back, now that you've discontinued it.
If your doctor says it's safe for you to take them, some supplements that may help include B vitamins and biotin.
However, if it was due to natural genetics or aging, then nothing is going to change it.
Has your doctor given an opinion?
