Sintrom Community Discussion
UpdatedI have to start taking Sintrom today. Do l have to take it at the same time every day, and if so, when is the best time of day to take it? Lastly, is it still OK to fly whilst taking Sintrom?

Sintrom contains the active ingredient Warfarin, it is a blood thinner and yes, it should be taken at the same time, every day.
As to flying, yes, you can do so, however, there are some things you should be aware of, before you do so.
If you are prone to clotting, and actually anybody should do this, if you are on a long flight, make sure you get up every few hours and move around a bit. Don't just stay sedentary in your seat.
The recycled air in the cabins tends to be very dry, this can lead to dryness of your nasal passages and could result in them cracking or bleeding, which you don't want to occur when you are on a blood thinner. So, you will want to be careful of this and you may need to carry a moisturizing nasal spray with you.
The air is also pressurized, so this raises your blood pressure. This can also increase the risk of bleeding and stroke, if you have high blood pressure and it is out of control, your doctor may want you to use an alternate means of transportation.
You should also consult your doctor, beforehand, as they may want you to take some additional precautionary measures. For some patients with clotting problems, their doctor wants them to have a shot of another blood thinner, before they take a long flight.
My wife is 30 years old and is taking Sintrom 4mg. She will be coming to the USA next month and I was wondering If Sintrom needs a prescription here in the States or can I get It at any pharmacy with no problems?
I had a pulmonary stroke a few months back, am on treatment with Sintrom 4mg taking one tablet a day. My blood pressure is always around 90/150 and pulse 100. What does it mean?
p.s: I am 33 years old
