Simvastin/over The Counter Cold Remedies

i have recently started taking simvastatin and i was curious if it would be all right to take over the counter cold remedy medice (alka seltzer cold relief) with this? i have a head cold and need relief from congestion.

Alka Seltzer Plus Cold contains Aspirin, Chlorpheniramine and Phenylephrine and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, drowsiness, stomach irritation and blurred vision.
