Testosterone is a steroid hormone produced naturally by the body in both men and women, though more predominantly in the former. In men, this hormone develops the male reproductive tissues but has other side effects as well. An increase in testosterone means an increase in both muscle and bone mass as well as extra body hair growth. A low level of this hormone can lead to a low sex drive, hair loss, fatigue, and declines in both muscle and bone mass, so if you’re suffering from any of these, you might want to try out the following ways to boost your testosterone levels.

There are quite a few ways to boost this hormone without using chemicals, and here are just a handful.

- Lose Some Weight
- Intermittent Fasting
- Getting Your Vitamins and Minerals
- Lifting weights
- Reducing Stress
- Consuming the Right Kinds of Fats and BCAAs
- Eliminating Sugars in Your Diet

Researchers continue to link excess body fat with a number of health problems, including low testosterone levels. Obesity also encourages the body to produce an enzyme, aromitase, which actually converts testosterone into estrogen, depleting already low levels of this hormone. If you’re serious about wanting to increase your testosterone, shedding some of the extra body fat you carry around will help and also improve your overall health.
