Siltussin Drug Information & Side Effects
UpdatedI have been taking Siltussin for 1 week now. My doctor wasn't in so the other doctor who was on call at the time, gave me Siltussin to take for a head cold because I have a thyroid condition. Please advise whether Siltussin can cause flu-like symptoms?

Siltussin is listed as containing the active ingredient Guaifenesin, it is most commonly used to help alleviate congestion from colds, and allergies.
The FDA does warn that it can cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and headache, as side effects, so some issues may seem similar to having a flu, if you experience them.

However, it is also possible that you've caught the flu.
What types of symptoms are you experiencing?
