Hello sir, my baby is 11 months old with the following diagnosis: TSH 0.91 uIU/ml, FREE T4 0.69 ng/dl, FREE T3 2.04 pg/ml. So the doctor prescribed thyronorm 50. What is it used for & please explain any side effects?

hello Dr. , I am mansi mishra . In 2008 my weight suddenly increased than I tested my thyroid , that time my TSH is more then the limit than i took thyronorm 50 mcg which suggested by my doctor. after that i loss my weight till 2 years (from 76 to 61). after that my weight again increased till now. i tested my TSH, T3 and T4 there is no problem . i am on dieting and exercise too , but my weight is not under control now my weight is 84 from 61. i m very tensed ... what should i do to decrease my weight. plz tell me

I'm from india..my Hb (8.5). T3=6.86, T4=16.20, TSH =6.26. doctor suggested for me to take thyronorm-25MCG first...after that they said to take 50 MCG,.and they said it can make weight reduce and swelling of neck will also reduce. but if it will cure or not ..i dont know...,im feeling over weight. my height was 160cm and weight is 74.. I am a 21 year old male , diagonised with hypothyrodism about 3 moths ago, i inially neglected it but later i had to take it because i had severe constipation and weight gain. now after taking thyronorm 50mcg i havent seen a day with constipation but my weight is still hard to reduce and i keep getting a cold very often. what do you conclde?

As reddy and reddy this are no the side effects of thyronorm it is the symptom of u having hypothyroid if even aftr taking thyronorm 50 mcg then I think so tht u shud take suggestions frm ur doctor and iam sure he or she will increase ur tab power

My wife has thyroid since last 3 years and her TSH were 1.09 in 1/2014, 1.06 in 6/2014 and 4.3 in 10/2014.All along she has been advised to take 50 mcg empty stomach in the morning. During last 2 months, the dose of medicine has been stopped once in a week (on sunday) as per Doctor advice.Since last two month, rash appears on her hand and neck and they are itching. Please advise.
