Side Effects Of Short Term Pred

Hi, I was just prescribed 60mg of prednisone for 2 weeks and after that tapering off a pill a day. I have never taken this before and am nervous about side effects. Do you think I can get side effects being on it for only 19 days total? (Irritability, sweating, "moon face", etc.) 60mg a day for two weeks is kind of scaring me and I'd like to know what I am getting myself into. I know everyone reacts differentl, I just wasn't sure if side effects are more due to long term use.

Generally, with short term use, you'll experience side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness and heart burn, as listed by the FDA. The moon face and other more serious ones usually require long-term use. As you are aware, there are always exceptions, so I can only inform you of the norm.
