Side Effects Of Montelukast And Levocetirizine If Taken For Longer Period (Top voted first)

I am suffering from allergy which causes continuous sneezing and hives all over the body from past two and a half year, when i came to Pune, earlier i din't have any problem like that. doctor prescribed me montelukast and levocetirizine anti allergic i am having it everyday, right now i din't suffered with any side effects but are there any side effects if i take it for longer period? if yes than could you tell me the safe drug which i can have to prevent side effects?? thanks in advance.

I have had severe throat infections for the past 5 years. Consulted an ENT and he prescribed one tab of LEVOCET daily for a month. I have been on anti-depression tablets for a while as of 3 years ago. Is it ok to try LEVOCET for a short period of time?

I was suffering from some allergy and my doctor prescribed me Montelukast 10mg + Levocetirizine 5mg to take for about 6 month but after completing this course I experienced some skin rashes and itching on my body. I have been taken it for 5 years now and this is my only problem. Please suggest some solutions for how I can get rid of this side effect? Thanks.

All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, so there is nothing I can suggest that would be certain to not cause any, either short or long-term. That's just the nature of drugs.

As to whether or not you should use it for a longer period of time…. have you consulted your doctor, again?

They would be best qualified to advise you in such a matter, since there are different factors that must be taken under consideration, such as your overall health and any other medications you may be taking.
