No, it was prescribed to me for an infection that I had in my knee. I was to take two pills per day for ten days. On day 11 I started itching and was wonderinf if this was a side effect of the medication. This was back in Dec. and I finished taking the medication on the 20th of Dec..

This is an antibiotic and usually the will cause diarrhea as a side effect and, in turn, that may cause such irritation.
