Did anyone have heart palpitations while taking Toviaz? I took it for 6 days and last night had heart palpitations for 5 hours. I also started the estrogen drug Osphena on the same day. Thank you.

Thank you David. I spoke to my Dr. today. She believes it could be the Toviaz. She said none of her patients had the palpitation side effects with Osphena.

Hi Maryann,

Sorry to hear about your symptoms. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), "fast, irregular, pounding, or racing heartbeat or pulse" is listed as a potentially serious side effect of Toviaz (Fesoterodine) that should be reported to your doctor immediately.

Additionally, MedlinePlus.gov lists "pain in your chest with or without shortness of breath, weakness, and fatigue" as a serious side effect of Osphena (Ospemifene) that you should notify your doctor about as well.
