Hello, Crista! How are you?
It is normal to experience side effects, whenever you increase the dosage of a medication. They usually wear off after about 4 weeks, once your body gets used to the medication. At the time, if they aren't improving, you should speak to your doctor.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of Cymbalta as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes.
Is there anything else I can help with?
Thank you for the reply! That answered my question and it will be helpful to have a estimated time frame of around 4 weeks so I can plan to up my dose during the summer when I don't have to drive my kids around alot and have extra help at home
You're very welcome, Crista, I'm glad I could help.
You can usually tell when things are going to improve, because you'll hit a peak with the side effects, where they are at the worst intensity, then the next day, they'll ease off.
I take Prozac for perimenopause symptoms and I've usually found that when we up the dosage of it, the side effects peak right around day 21, then improve, so I've learned to just expect it.
Are there any other questions or concerns?
