Side Effects From Losartan

I have been taking medication to help lower my pressure. The side effects are terrible. I have shortness of breath and feel jittery after taking the medicine. I've stop taking for a day too see if I would feel better. But I'm still experiencing the side effects. I spoke to my doctor to see if I can try something new with a lower dosage or control my pressure with exercise and diet. I'm stuck because my doctor said because of my anemia my pressure is high at times. Please help

Hello, Zangria! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're experiencing.

There are other options your doctor should be able to prescribe for you, another one that's a related medication is Atacand/Candesartan and it usually doesn't cause as many side effects as the others.

The FDA lists its typical ones as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.

It's an idea you can ask your doctor about.

Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?
