Side Effect Of Atenolol

Has anyone had a hign ANA test result after taking atenolol?

Since I started taking Atenolol I have had shortness of breath. My doctor tells me Atenolol would not cause this. Should I seek another opinion.

Atenolol is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions.

And yes, it can cause shortness of breath in some people that take it.

What happened with this Steve? Did you end up changing medications, switching doctors, or perhaps both?

I had the same experience and changed docs. the new one did a heart cath and said it must be the pill and took me off and I was fine. Then I had to take another one now and I'm back to being short of breath.
