Side Effects Of Taking Aleve For A Month

I was advised by a ER doctor to take Aleve for a serious jaw injury that left me in serious pain. After taking 2 pills a day for a little over a month ( again was recommended to me by the doctor ) I started developing bad headaches, I started getting very agitated and nervous for no reason and I started having really odd dreams. After being unable to get though to the doctor, I just had enough and stopped taking the pills. After a few days I started to see minor improvement. The headaches went from head splitting to very minor and the odd dreams went away BUT what alarmed me was that at times my heart would feel like it was pounding like a drum and over the past few days I started getting occasional hot flashes.

My question is this..... is this just "withdrawal symptoms" of me suddenly going cold turkey on taking Aleve and will it pass over time or do I need to see a doctor right away.

It is very difficult to say, it could be due to either/or, perhaps even both. It would be best to have things checked out to be safe.

The FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding.

Are you on any other medications?
