Side Effects Of Trazodone

I have been taking 200mg of Trazodone since February and although I noticed an immediate improvement in my mood I think I'm struggling now with side effects although my doctor said they should have worn off by now. I find that I'm constantly shaky inside, feel cold most of the time, frequently feel ill, very irritable and general feeling of not coping. Any thoughts welcome.

Your doctor is correct, they should have worn off by now, it usually only takes about 4 to 5 weeks.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and drowsiness.

It could be, however, that it's just not the right medication for you and you may need to switch to something else.

I felt this way through four days and nights of hell I won't forget in a hurry despite the doc's assurances I would have NO side effects and he would double my dosage in a month "when it starts working" !!!

I took Trazadone for 4 years I must impress upon you how dangerous this drug can be. Trazadone almost killed me had it not been for my purse being stolen I would probably not have figured it out in time. I was down to 78lbs and very sick and it was all caused by Trazadone. It took me 4 months going cold turkey before I felt myself again. Good luck sweetie

I want to sue the company that makes Trazodone. I stopped taking it and still suffer the symptoms. It’s making me sick. I still have zapping in my brain and hurts. I don’t know why I’m still having symptoms. I need help in knowing what to do.
