Side Effects Of Taking Lyrica And Morphine Together

I am taking morphine sul 100 bid and lyrica 200 bid. ive been taking this for quit awhile but recently was increased to 100 from 75 and from 150 to 200 respectfully. The last two days I've been getting tightness in my chest and it feel hard to breath is this a side effect of the two and if so shouldn't of it showed when I started taking them together. I ve been on morphine for almost 2yrs at 75. and the lyrica was just started the end of last year it started at 50 and gone up since then. I have nerve pain in my neck and lowr back from 2 failed surgeries to releive pinched nerves in both areas.

It could be a side effect that has been caused by the increase in dosages.

Morphine is a narcotic and both it and the Lyrica can cause central nervous system depression, which can affect your breathing. You should contact your doctor and you will also want to watch for any drops in blood pressure and heart rate.

can i drink morphine and lyrica at the same time>my doctor give me both morphine sulfate E30MG CAP an d Lyrica 50 MG CAP can i mix those pills?

Chino, they can be used at the same time, but as I said in my other post, both can cause CNS depression, so you do have to watch for any signs of that, such as trouble breathing, extreme dizziness or drowsiness and lowered heart rate.

Your doctor should also be monitoring you by having you come in for regular visits to discuss any problems you might be having.

In my opinion, you never increase two meeds at the same time. Raise one and if that goes well in two weeks raise the other if at all. maybe you would not have to raise the other.

Hello, I don't know why doctors like to give morphine when they have methadone, less side effects, less problems, long H. life (very long!) and very well tolarated medication. And again Methadone + Lyrica works very well! Lyrica increase the methadone concentration in the cells and it works very well. Ask your doctor.

I would take t hh e morphine about 4 hours before the lyrica space the time out. Don't swallow them at the same time anymore.

I gained a ton of weight! Had to switch to Cymbalta instead of Lyrica..... It has taken me 4 years to lose my Lyrica weight.

My just started taking Cymbalta, Lyrica, and Hydromorphe and takes them together but he has gotten very ill throwing up most of the day, dizzy, nausea, off balance much more than he was. He slurs his words and has had a headache for the past 5 or 6 days. His Dr told him to go into emergency asap but he refuses. He thinks it could be the combination of all three drugs or at least two of them having a bad interaction. He has taken lyrica and hydromorphe for a while so I think it could be the added Cymbalta. What do you all think? I'm about to knock the old man out and take him to the emergency, he is so stubborn. kidding of course but how do you force him to go at 70 years of age so stubborn.

Because Methadone causes cardiac problems it can be easily increased by giving other medications with a risk of sedation/respiratory/arrhythmia and death. Methadone prescribed by doctors is linked with a high risk factor of death.
