Side Effects Of Metformin On Child

My six year old child took a 500 mg Metformin by mistake. What should I do?

Call poison control or your local hospital......by now the effects are over as I am sure you didn't wait 5 days for an answer. You need to call doc, possibly give oj and watch for signs of low blood sugar; drowsiness, shaking, thirst can accompany due to fast physiological changes.
I only left this answer in case someone read this. AND, I hope your 6 year old is ok.
