Side Effects Of Lobazam 10 & Lamitor Od 100

i have epilepsy from the age of 15..my first doctor who was a neuro surgeon prescribed me encorate chrono 300 from the very beginig during day and night after the meal...during this i lost my hair nearly almost...i doubted that it may be the side effect of the medicine...i discussed it with that doctor but he continiously refused it..in between 17-18 of my age i stopped that medicine without doctor consultation which causes me a massive attack...then we consult the doctor and he said to continue the medicine...i was consuming that medicine for 5.5years after that we thought to consult another doctor but this time a neuro physician...he was also prescribing the same medicine but from a low dosage but we denied it as we had searched in google about the side effcts of encorate chrono...and the doctor prescribed me lamitor od 100 during day and night after the meal and lobazam 10 aside for few weeks..my question is what is the side effects of lamitor 100 and lobazam 10 and is it possible that my hair will grow back as it was before because i have stopped consuming encorate chrono near about a year before...????

dear beti, please consult 2 or 3 doctors before fixing medicine.u should have consult a doctor, who obtained a degree from a reputed Institute,not college. prescribing medicine carries 30 to 50 percent commission to the doctor.

I am having my daughter with same ailment, but have good doctors, so less dosage of encorate chrono 100, but later replaced with lamitor od 100 with less dosage. first medicine is ur mental power, and get it by will power. Prayer with meditation will do wonders. I will pray for u.

Lamitor contains the active ingredient Lamotrigine, it is an anticonvulsant.

Common side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, blurred vision and vivid dreaming.

Lobazam contains the active ingredient Clobazam, it's a Benzodiazepine derivative that is also used as an anticonvulsant.

As to your hair loss and whether or not it will improve, that really all depends on whether or not it was caused by the medication or not. Some epileptics do experience it from the Epilepsy itself and the problems it can cause in the body. However, it is known to occur in up to 12% of people that use Sodium Valproate, the active ingredient in Encorate Chrono.

Some people have been known to improve, if it was caused by the medication, by taking a Selenium supplement:

Hi my sister is an epilepsy patient and she is taking lamitor OD 250mg and lobazam 10 for 5 years now. She is not showing any immidiate side effects.

i'm 200% sure that my hair fall is due to the medicine (enchrota chrono 300) x 2 times i.e 600mg of dose per day for 4 years.....what type of selenium products will u suggest....can u name some of them....????????

Does the will power help recovering epilepsy ??
We all know that its completely the drug on which the epilepsy patient controls himself.
Considering it as an addiction, can I by myself reduce the intake of medicine (not decreasing the power).
I am trying on it and it has shown that if I slowly reduce it and keep my willpower strong, I dont need such s*** to keep my mind in control. I can control by myself.

Dear Sir/Madam ! My daughter aged 13 has epilepsy since 3 to 4 years. After consultation with the Dr and EEG report the disease identified and started giving lamitor 25mg for two weeks, 50 mg for two weeks and the dose increased gradually so on After four month now she is taking 500 mg.. There is no manufacture of lamitor 500 mg and the Dr advised me to continue the medicine for 2 and half year. After three months of using lamitor her epilepsy vanished. Is it suggestible to give this much high dose for so long duration? Since she is cured, can't her dose reduce slowly and stopped finally.

Hi, I'm also suffering from epilepsy from the age of 25 yrs & now I'm 30. Earlier my doctor prescribed me Epilex chrono 300mg medicine. But he told that this will also result into hairfall & weight gain.I took this medicine for 3 mths then consulted another doc & he told me that Lamitor OD 200mg is fine for me. I take it at every night. It is very good medicine. I've never faced any attack after once & also dint feel any side effects.
I think anyone who is facing this disease should take this medicine, just he/she needs to confirm about the right dose. One more thing, this tab should not be taken more than 400mg.
Regarding Lobazam, I took this medicine for a month. Only when I got the attack. 10 mg for 15 days & then 5 mg for another 15 days & then stopped.
One thing, you people should not rely on a single doc, your only motive is to get rid of this disease. So go for the best. I myself have had consulted 5 best doctors in 5 different cities.
One last thing, suppose you are at any place & you are feeling as if you are going to get convulsion, use an inhaler immediately. It will stop that convulsion from occurring that time. So that you wont come into a trouble by getting it in public or anywhere. Its name is INSED.I keep it with me everytime in my purse.

I don't know if my info has helped you people in any sense. But this is the best way to keep this disease under control, which I've found out for myself after a great research.

always keep SOS with u....if u r feeling stressed or if u feel u r going to have fits...den SOS is very helpful...its dissolving tablet...jst keep on ur tongue n it will immediatly dissolve.

hi i've been using lamitor od 100 in dosage of 200mg in morning and 200 in evening.
As compliment with it i was given shelacal and folvite also.. from last 1 month my doasage of shelcal and folvite is reduced to 7 days a month.
These days i'm facing a sudden loss in my health and mass. My weight has reduced by 10kg. I've almost become skinny.

Waant to know can this be a side effect of lamitor od 100 (in dose form of 400 mg a day) or it is due to some oter reason.
Also one more point can i plan for a baby while continuing with this medicine.

Hi, I'm suffering from epilepsy from the age of 4 yrs & now I'm 30.Old healed cacified granuloma in left top parietal region found in my CECT scan head in the year of 20dec 2009. My doctor prescribed me Sodium Valproate 300mg &clobazam fresium 10mg medicine last 3yrs. Now i am facing the vision problem,stammer,and my menses cycle reduce to last 6 month, my menses cycle completed only 1& half day.My question that is the side effect of both medicine. My son using Lamitor OD 50 & Levera 250 since 2009 June,but some side effect giving as following: Ulcer on inside the mouth & Tongue & rectum also.He can't talk & taking meal freely & not latrine freely for the same. What can I do?
