The side effects listed below are not experienced by everyone who takes this medication. If you are concerned about side effects, I would suggest discussing the risks and benefits of this medication with your doctor.

-breast tenderness and excess vaginal secretions
-constipation
-darkening of the skin around areas where the patch is applied
-dizziness
-earache
-fatigue
-fluid retention
-gas
-headache
-heartburn
-nausea
-nervousness
-redness or irritation underneath or around the area of the skin on which the patch is applied
-trouble sleeping
-vomiting

Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:

-abdominal tenderness, persistent upper abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting
-easy bruising, many or prolonged, exceptionally heavy periods
-jaundice (yellowing of the eyes or skin)
-lower abdominal pain or swelling, painful or heavy periods
-symptoms of an infection (e.g., fever)

Stop taking the medication and seek immediate medical attention if any of the following occur:

-coughing blood
-headache (sudden or severe)
-loss of coordination (sudden)
-narrowing of the throat
-pains in the chest, groin or leg, especially in calf of leg
-persistent or severe skin irritation
-rapid pulse or dizziness
-shortness of breath (sudden and unexplained)
-slurring of speech (sudden)
-sudden vision changes (such as partial or complete loss of vision, double vision)
-symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, e.g.:
-difficulty breathing
-hives
-swelling of the mouth, tongue, face, or throat
-tender or painful inflammation of the veins
-weakness or numbness in arm or leg

Some people may experience side effects other than those listed. You should check with your doctor if you notice any symptom that worries you while you are taking this medication.
