Side Effect Belviq

I took my 1st dose of belviq yesterday and 2nd one this morning. I have already had 3 instances of horrible diarrhea. Is this common and does it go away? The only other side effect I feel is a slightly irritated throat.

Hello Newgirl70! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you've had, that would be very annoying.

Diarrhea is a common side effect of Belviq, as listed by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, hypertension, rash, back pain and fatigue.

They are usually transient and should improve or go away entirely, once your body gets used to the medication, but that may take about 4 to 6 weeks. If they get worse, or continue past that, you should speak to your doctor.
