Should A 12mcg/hr Fentanyl Patch Last Longer Than 6-7 Hours?
UpdatedShould a 12mcg/hr Fentanyl patch last longer than 6-7 hrs? I'm on a patch and it doesn't seem to work.

Yes, they usually last about 72 hours, according to FDA reports, though some people with very severe pain change them every 48 hours.
The NIH warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
How long have you been using it? Are you on any other medications?
