I had a severe headache on Tuesday. And the right side of my face mainly my eye and cheek area became swallon. Today I seen my dcotor and he said it could be a few things. So he told me to start taking Bactrim. After reading things here I do not know if I should. I have COPD, ASTHMA, FIBROMYALGIA. AND suffer from depression. This scares me to even try it

It is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of bacterial infections. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash.
As to your concerns, I understand them, but such issues are only possible reactions that are experienced by only a small percentage of people that take it. The only way to find out how it works for you is by taking it to find out.
However, if you are that afraid to take it, there is no harm in asking your doctor about trying a different medication.
