Shorted On Xarelto Purchase At The Pharmacy

Well, I am very disappointed as I have been going to the same pharmacy for years and today I was shorted on meds (Xarelto), which I paid for and did not receive. Has anyone else had this happen to them lately? If so, what can be done about it?

Hello Belinda! How are you? I'm very sorry about what happened.

The best thing to do would be to return to the pharmacy and inform them that you were shorted on your prescription. Pharmacies do keep count of medications, so they should be able to figure out what happened on their end, and possibly provide you with the missing medication. I've had this happen, before, and never had a problem getting my pharmacy to provide the missing amount.

If it were a controlled substance, it might be a different story, but Xarelto doesn't fall into that category.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Xarelto as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, easy bruising, and increased risk of bleeding.
