Shelcal Side Effect Information

My 72 yr old sister takes four shellcal 500 tablets for her joint pains. And it turns out that she has been doing this for quite some time.What are the side effects or risks?

Has she consulted her doctor?

Shelcal contains a calcium supplement and 2,000mgs a day isn't really a crazy, dangerous amount to take, unless her doctor says it is not safe.
