Over 15yrs.ago, I was taken off Theodur and introduce to Azmacort. And oow what a relief it is. I was able to do more than walk. I was able to jog from 3 to 5miles a day without the exercise induced asthma. The cold air in the winter no longer collaped my lunges when going out to jog. Now its all down hill. Gone is the jogging and I use to participate in the Senior Olympics. Someone goofed. Bad decision. I tried all other medications to no avail. O-zone, I know this was not a Scientist decision!!!

What others have you tried?

Do you have any idea what causes your asthma? As in what all you're sensitive or allergic to?

You mentioned cold, but nothing else.

Hello,
I thought I would check in and see if anyone was still here.All the time I was on AZMACORT I had no problems never went to hospital nothing. Now I have been in the hospital twice, a month apart.I have been on oral steroids since they took azmacort away. I have just found out that my back has small fractures all the way down my spine, from all the oral steroids I have had to take.Just about all I can do is lean on counter if I can make it there, or sit around which just takes the rest of my health away.There was a list going around for signatures to get the CFC's back.

AZMACORT worked miracles for me. I was very upset when it was no longer available. Fortunately my asthma isn't severe; mostly a 24/7 annoyance. Sadly, Qvar, Asmanex, ADVAIR, and Flovent had absolutely no effect in diminishing the asthma symptoms. As a last resort before going to a Pulmonary Specialist, my General Practioner MD suggested trying a KENALOG injection. It worked a miracle. Within Three days, my asthma symptoms disappeared. However, about three months later, I needed another injection. Now, I'm not certain if there is a Seasonal Effect; don't know if I may have an allergy to something(?). KENALOG has been available for many years.
