Weight gain can be a norma side effect of the Pregabalin in Lyrica, however, it should not cause severe pain.

What were you taking it for? If it was for pain, there is a chance that your condition has worsened to the point where this medication may not be helping, as much as it used to. This can also occur if you've had no dosage adjustments for the length of time you've been taking it.
