Severe Calf/leg Pain At Night

Have been on rivaroxaban for 6 months after clots in lung diagnosed was told I would be on it for life. Then clot dispersed after further tests by another hospital thank goodness, so I have come off it. I have had worsening leg pain when in bed that would wake me sometimes 6 times a night. Felt pain deep in calf and developed a varicose vein which swelled only when in bed at night. Was tested for dvt none found. Came off rivaroxaban and ever since stopping it a week ago I have had no pain in leg at night no swelling of vein in leg and only get up on average once during the night. I am convinced it was rivaroxaban causing this problem.

It's hard to say for sure, but it is possible that it was due to the medication.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.

Are there any questions or concerns?

Just relieved I am not on rivoxoban anymore as am now sleeping well and absoloutely no night leg pain or swelling of veins never occurred to me it was a side effect just thought I was getting older and blamed my knees too...makes me wonder what would have happened had I stayed on it for life which was the original.plan..
