My first injection of Prolia was in November 2013, age 72, and the second injection was early in June 2014. After the first shot I had pain in my left ankle and lower back which was diagnosed as arthritis. After the second shot the ankle pain greatly increased and my right ankle and hips are also painful, making walking difficult. Absolutely nothing relieves the pain and it's affecting my sleep. I'll never take another shot and hope that the pain subsides. In my opinion this medicine should be taken off the market.

Hello, Emily! How are you doing? I am very sorry that you're in pain.
Many people have reported these types of issues from Prolia and it's caused almost all of them to stop using it. It's very common for these side effects to occur with virtually all of the medications in this class. Some people have good results with them and some don't.
Has the pain improved, yet?
