Severe Constipation & Hemorrhoids

I've been taking livogen tablets for 45 days due to severe stomachaches during my periods, but have recently been facing a problem of constipation and pain during discharge.. (no bleeding), just black stool... Kindly help me out... I haven't had this constipation problem in the past... Is this because of livogen? How do I get rid of this problem?

Yes, Livogen contains iron, which can cause constipation and black stool, according to NIH reports. This will not do anything, however, to help with stomach aches. It is a supplement that is used to treat or prevent deficiencies in the vital nutrients it contains.

Did you doctor instruct you to take this? Are you on any other medications?
