Seizure Medicine Levipil Duration Of Use

My name is Ashish. I'm 38 years old. On July 3rd 2016 I had my first seizure. Doctor suggested me to take Levipil 500 mg twice a day. For how long do I have to take this medicine? Please guide me.

It depends on what caused your seizure, if it is due to epilepsy, you may need to take a medication for the rest of your life to prevent seizures.

The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, memory loss, and weight gain.
