Second Month Of Contrave And No Difference
UpdatedI just started my second month of Contrave and I'm not really seeing a huge difference. My appetite is less and I am not eating as much but the scale is not moving. I walk about 5 miles a day. Does anyone know how long it takes to see results?

Not every medication works for everyone that tries it, so it could be that it's not the right medication to help you.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and anorexia.
What types of foods do you eat?
What else have you tried for weight loss?
I eat pretty much meats! No veggies, I just don't like them. I've tried phentermine but it's no good without the other half that was banned years ago! I can say that the Contrave has eliminated my snacking. I'll give it another month and see.
Has anyone else had a poor response from contrave? Any suggestions?
Great topic! I have been astonished at this med and my restrictive eating, I have seen great results! I eat grapefruit for breakfast, mid morning snack of another fruit. 5oz of protein with two uncooked veggies at lunch. Then an afternoon fruit snack dinner is 5-6oz protein and two cooked veggies. Then a handful of grapes before bed. All fresh never frozen and the weight is melting off! Plus 80oz of water! I do slip and have a diet coke!
I too have not had great results, I have followed this the letter. I Have been on it for two months I just go down a few pounds then back up. Over all just about 6 pounds. This is very frustrating.
I have been on contrave for going on 4 months. I lost weight right away at first and now I am stuck. I dropped the first 10 lbs like nothing but now I am see sawing with in 5 lbs. My appetite is less and I have been working out. Don't want to stop or give up because I have not had any side effects but what the H@#$..
I've had excellent results with it losing about 35 pounds. however it is imperative that you do vigorous exercises for at least 30 mins per day and several times a week. I alternate between stationary bike, elliptical and treadmill. I'm seventy and what I try to do is during the exercise at some point hit it hard for 30 secs, slow down for 30 and repeat for a total of 8 cycles, this is refered to as the 4 minute work out, it works. good luck!
I have lost 26 lbs. and am working thru a plateau now. I track my food and exercise and that has helped me. I started taking Contrave when I was at the end of my rope and would do anything that made sense to me to lose weight. I hope you can find what motivates you the best.
yes in my third month and have only lost the first 10 lbs then stopped. I am working out 2-3 times a week but my appetite is still the same. Craving still the same. Late night snacking still the same. I am done and would not recommend to anyone. I had high hopes for this but as usual not what was expected.
