Sciatica Pregator Spine Problem

I am a 73 old Indian male generally in good health except repeated episodes of depression and heart bypass surgery 20 yrs ago. Since last three months I am suffering from right leg pain and numbness, initiated and aggravated during morning walk. One doctor diagonosed it to be SCIATICA and kept me on MAGANEURON 2 caps a day for three months but with no relief.Another doctor has prescribed Myospass D wlth delfenac potassium 50 mg and metaxalone 400 mg twice daily for 5 days and Pregator (pregabolin 75mg,methylcobalamin 1500mg,alpha lipolic acid 200mg,folic acid 1.5 mg,and pyridoxine hydrocloride 3mg) twice a day for one month. He feels that it is a mix of sciatica and spine problem. MRI done a few years ago had some problem in s3 and s4. I feel that the medication is too strong for the ailment and will have serious side effects. Kindly advise.

My advice is to find one primary doctor whom you feel is trustworthy and knowledgeable- and stick with him. Jumping doctors is never a good idea. Choose one who is dedicated to finding the best solution. Not just any doctor who can make the pain stop now.
Example- I've been to 3 doctors for my back and foot pain.
1- offered cortisone shots
2- gave me any narcotic I was willing to take
3- proposed I start with a light pain reliever acompanied with physical therapy, eventually reduced to stretching.

To think cortisone shots and narcotics for something stretching could fix.
