Same As Everyone Else
UpdatedI have a severe back injury and have been taking long and fast acting Oxycodone and Opana. When I was no longer able to get the Oxy's I was switched to Dilaudid and then when the Opana was stopped because it was stated that they took it off the market to reformulate it I was switched to Oxycontin and Dilaudid and then when the Dialudid was no longer available I was switched to Morhphine. Now I cannot get anything but for some reason they can fill the scripts for Hospice next door because I overheard the pharmacist talking about it. I like others depend on this medication to live somewhat of a normal life. It keeps me from having to file for disability and just sitting at home in pain and become depressed and being worse off than I am. At least I am a tax paying member of society and able to function as a father but people that have never been in debilitating pain cannot even fathom how it feels to not have to reach for a pain pill bottle as soon as you wake up instead of kissing your spouse or your kids. You cannot tell me that they cannot come up with a problem that legitimate people can subscribe to so they can get their meds and if they are caught abusing that system take them off but do not punish the people that are helping to keep this country alive because they choose to work instead of laying day and giving into the pain.
