In tablet form, none of the medications you've listed become dangerous, once expired, but yes, they do start to lose efficacy and you should dispose of them.
The expired liquid ear drops, however, can go bad and could cause problems, if you used them, as listed by the FDA. Liquids are nowhere near as stable as other medication forms.
Both Xanax and Codeine carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth.
