Safe Time Between Oxycodone 5 325mg And Drinking Wine

I had surgery Thursday AM
I came home from the hospital Friday morning(9am)
For pain,I am suppose to take oxycodone / acetaminophen 5-325 mg very 4 to 6 hours.
I have not taken any since 2:30 this morning(almost 14 hours ago). Can I have a glass of wine for dinner?

Did you end up having your glass of wine? if so, were there any adverse effects?

For future reference, alcohol is generally warned against being used with narcotics because it can cause aggravation of the side effects, such as nausea, dizziness and drowsiness. If you're going to combine the two thing of each drink having about double the alcohol content it normally does.

The other side effect that may be problematic is depression of the central nervous system. This may result in severe sedation, lowered heart rate, lowered blood pressure and shallow breathing.

However, after 14 hours, it wouldn't be likely that you'd experience much of a problem, but it would be best to err on the side of caution and not drive, as well as to make sure you watch for warning signs.
