Sacramento Compassionate Pain Management
UpdatedHi, I'm now in the FAIR OAKS area of Sacramento & am A STAGE 4 CANCER PATIENT that is obviously on SSDI/SSI but since I receive $743 TOTAL a month & am @ a room & board, basically I also have no family or friends? They r back on the East Coast anyway. SERIOUS QUESTION: IF THEY CAN FIRST AT LEAST REFER ME TO A COMPASSIONATE PCP OR INTERNAL MEDICINE DR. WHO WILL CONTINUE MY MEDS? I ONLY HAVE 3 & A HALF ORGANS FROM ALL THESE SURGERIES & LONG STORY SHORT EVER SINCE MY LAST DR. RETIRED, I CAN'T FOR THE LIFE OF ME (ESPECIALLY ON MY OWN), find a normal doctor that will fill my normal prescriptions which is just my alprazolam for my seizures and my panic attacks and my PTSD. Then I take either or long-acting pain medication and a breakthrough pain medication. I just can't seem to find a person (meaning compassionate normal doctor). I've been falling through the cracks here in Sacramento and I need to find someone that can help me and I never had problems with drugs or anything. No red flags or any reason to not be able to get help. Most people would think why can't I find a normal doctor? What should I do? When my doctor retired after having two good doctors for 11 years of time over 5 surgeries from my cancer, those two doctors took very good care of me between them and the coordination at UCSF. But now ever since the last RETIRED, WHEN I WENT TO THE ER AFTER THE 1ST seizure & WD from my PAIN MEDS..THEY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BETTER TO HELP MY WD AT A LOCAL METHADONE CLINIC UNTIL "I' WAS ABLE TO FIND A NEW PCP? THAT'S 1 & HALF YEARS AGO! I NEED A NORMAL DR. WHO CAN HELP ME & REALIZE MY EASILY DIAGNOSED SITUATION & HAVE JUST AN OUNCE OF COMPASSION. I'VE BEEN ON HOSPICE. 2 MONTHS AGO I had a BAD KIDNEY INFECTION ON MY ONLY KIDNEY & SURVIVED BOTH! IF SOMEONE CAN RECOMMEND ANY DR. that can HELP ME I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL. TY.

I didn't even know the term 10 years ago but a Pain clinic is what you probably will need for meds. I know the only one in my area charges $500 for the first visit, does not take Blue Cross, and there were really seedy people outside along with 3 armed guards. Never seen this before

I DIDN'T RE READ MY POST THOUGH & WAS TIRED WHEN I WROTE IT! WHERE DO U LIVE THOUGH? IM IN CALI SACRAMENTO TO BE EXACT?IFU COULD GET BACK AT ME ID BE VERY GRATEFUL!
Re: EDDY (# 1)
hello Eddie I spoke to you and you reply to a message I sent about a year ago and still dealing with trying to find that proper doctor to help me get my pain medications as I had mentioned I am a stage 4 cancer patient and still having issues trying to find someone to help describe my pain medications so I can live some type of way in life. And I said I live in Fair Oaks in the Sacramento area and that's what I need to find a doctor and having them help me with my medicine! I remember that you had mentioned a pain management doctor that charges $500 but you never mentioned who it was or how I could get in touch with that doctor? I would hope and assume since I was asking about the Sacramento area if you could tell me if that doctor is in this area and also if you can give me the information so I can get in touch with that doctor? I'd be very grateful obviously cuz I'm really sick and it's impossible to do anything just to put it bluntly! It's really sad how doctors as a whole at this point are not helping people that are the sickest and are warranted these type of medications! I hope you get this message and reply back to help me thank you so much. If anyone else reads this I would really hope they can get back to me with some information of a real compassionate doctor that could help me here in Sacramento California area!
Re: Mike (# 3)
Hi Mike, good to see your still with us. I don't live in the Sacto area so I don't have any places I know of. Many specialists are pulling out of accepting Insurance. Hang in there!
Re: EDDY (# 1)
I know from what you have told me if you read your or remember reading your post a year ago Eddie? Well anyway you had mentioned that you know of a I believe pain management doctor here in Sacramento but they charge $500 and I figured like you said that most of them don't take insurance anymore.? There are still a few around any way that take insurance but they're just as strict as anyone else no matter how sick I am? so if you could let me know about the one you were talking about that cost $500 and I believe you were Towing me that it's in the Sacramento area please let me know ASAP? Also if you ever hear of any other things please let me know? If I have to go out of the area a little bit I will
Mike, I do remember posting that information about $500 for a Psychiatric visit and the guy runs the only pain clinic in my area, about 1000 miles from you. He didn't accept ANY insurance, just "Access" which is Arizona's public assistance, and also took cash. I was not looking for a pain provider, just someone that would assist me with my SSDI claim. The State of Arizona said I was welcome to visit their Doctor too for a 15 minute 'Intake', if I brought $500. I have excellent insurance and my cost should have been $35, not the $500 but I don't even live in Arizona. On a sad note, my former personal Physician who prescribed whatever was needed has been ordered to undergo Psychotherapy as a condition to keep his Medical license, now that's a little different? In any case I really hope you can get the medicine and treatment needed, so much is changing and not for the best. I did just take a look and I see in your area is Metropolitan Pain Management Consultants, Sacramento Pain Clinic, the InTouch Functional Medicine along with 27 possible other places to look into.
