Penicillin is an antibiotic, so yes, it is sometimes used to treat some STDs.

A yeast infection, however, is fungal in origin and Penicillin is not effective against it and it can actually cause them to occur.

This medication may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
