Someone Please Give Me Guidence! ! ! !
UpdatedSo I have add. I've have been diagnosed with add on three seperate ocasions over the past 25 years. Now I'm in my mid 30's and just could not do the "drug free" route any longer. My doctor perscribe Vyvanse and to me it was like a miracle,,,at first. My doctor warned me of the euphoria like feeling at the begining and he was right and it subsided over the next few days. She started me off almost from the begining with 60mg (2 or 3 days of 30mg then wanted me to double). So realitively quickly I noticed a "crash" in the early afternoon. When this happens I'm actually way worse then before I started taking vyvanse. After a roller coater of a ride over the last month or so of trying to find what is right for me, I really came to the conclusion of either figure out what the right dose is or just quit all together. After going to the extremes both ways, taking to much and being up an anxious, to not really taking much at all (with high protien diet to help), I've found the "happy medium" that works. Problem is I don't know if it's even allowed.I work 4, 14 hour days in a week with 2 other days being 10 hour days so I needed a balance to work through that mess. I get up at about 6a.m and hold off taking anything till 6:45 (70mg). That will wear off by noon easy so I've learned to take another by 11:30 (70mg). then around 4p.m take another (30mg). which does not last really all that long at all my doctor gave me an afternoon booster of something that is 10mg (same classification just not vyvanse) that I take around 7p.m...After all that I still will sleep like a baby by 11:00p.m with no side effects at all. Not to high, Not to low. But is this too much?? This is what works for me. I don't know what to do. If I have to deal with the roller coaster ride, Ide rather take nothing. The advantage of Vyvanse is my quality of life at work and home. SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME GUIDENCE PLEASE!

Have you discussed it with your doctor?
Really, when it comes to any medication, there can be listed daily limits, as found by the FDA, but they don't always universally apply, because a lot depends on someone's body and their tolerance to any given medication.
What this means is, that only you and your doctor can really decide what is, or isn't safe for you. There are, of course, certain extremes that you should never exceed, but someone that is tolerant to a stimulant is going to need more than someone that has never taken them before, the same with narcotics and etc.
