Tablets generally have a one year expiration date from the time they were dispensed to you from your pharmacy. That's the time the seal was broken on the original container and they became exposed to the elements that cause degradation, such as heat, light and moisture.

However, due to the risk of developing antibiotic resistance, you shouldn't take them, unless a doctor has confirmed the presence of an infection.
