Side Effects Prexum Plus

I have been on Prexum Plus for some time, but recently have started suffering from a running nose, phlemmy chest and flu like symptoms all the time, as well as a constant feeling of nausea. Is this a common side effect? My BP is stablised, so I am wary of changing meds.

Hi Chrystal,

The flu-like symptoms you've been experiencing are in fact related to side effects of Prexum Plus (Perindopril); which list the following:

• cough
• headache
• weakness
• dizziness
• diarrhea
• stomach pain
• upset stomach

NOTE: fever, sore throat, chills, and other signs of infection, are regarded as serious side effects of this drug and should be reported to your doctor. I would also consider switching medications if the side effects have become too bothersome or severe.
