Hi. I have been taking atenolol 25 mg for possibly 10 years or more and never had a problem with sandoz. All of a sudden they are having a hard time getting atenolol so now I'm getting them from zydus supplier and the pill is much bigger. I took it and got very dizzy/sick to my stomach with diarrhea. The pharmacist says nothing is wrong with it but I am very concerned about my symptoms. Has anyone else had these problems all of a sudden? The pill is white & round with z on one side & 65 on the other, and my old pill said gg L7 on it.

I'm also concerned about this switch from Sandoz to Zydus. Only this medication is for my cat, who I'm sure will be much more sensitive to even small changes, and won't be able to communicate how he feels. It worries me that others are posting problems like this because of the switch in drug manufacturers.... If anyone else has any feedback, please advise!

Yes I experienced dizziness, diarrhea, nausea and headaches from the zyd manufacturer. Had no problems with the sandoz. I have been switched now to metroprolol ER and having issues with it too.

My mother has been on Atenolol for her blood pressure for years and now the pharmacist told he is out of Atenolol and gave her Sandoz as a replacement. Is this medication the same as Atenolol?

Well Sandoz is the drug company name, not the medication name, so I cannot tell you if this is the same stuff or not, unless you provide the imprint on the pill, or the medicine name.
