Roxicet 30mg

I have been on butrans 10mcg/hour equizilnet to 90mg of morphine or other a day .I would like to change to roxicodone 30 mg because I work out in the heat and the butrans release to quickly and end up being out by the 7 day .but don't know how to go about asking my dr. Any suggestions ? Please help

My advice would be to just discuss the issue with your doctor, without asking for any specific medication. Trying to get a specific medication tends to give the impression that you are drug seeking, however, there is no harm in telling your doctor of the problem.

Roxicodone, however, is a regular release formulation of Oxycodone and it is not going to help control pain for very long, either. The time released formulation is Oxycontin and works for 12 hours.

Just to let u know if ur on narcotics for awhile ur body gets used to the roxicodone kinda quickly . It's sucks but explain to ur doc and ask if there are any alternatives. He or she might give u something that might work better for ur situation .
