round white pill with v inprinted on front and 2355 on back
No it is not an opiate! No hydro codons in it.
phenobarb is considered a controlled substance but in this form such as in fioricet you don't need to show your drivers license to pick up such as with hydrocodone
The Blue LCI 1695 is the same medication as the White V 2355. They're both Fioricet. 325/50/40
They DO NOT CONTAIN HYDROCODONE..Period!!! That should be the end of the discussion. It's just that simple, they just don't.
I have two different pills in my pill bottle. One of them says a v/2355 and the is a blue that says LCI/1695.
you cannot possibly be an RN. The style of writing you used in your response indicates that you could not possibly be a Registered Nurse. You may be a CNA, but definitely not an RN!
Thanks I feel a lot better about taking it now
This is a bogus reply there is NO 50 mg hydro. This med is fiorcet. PERIOD this is for migraine headaches. And is. Barb. Not hydro
Of this I am 100% sure of
It IS fioricet. It IS NOT hydrocodone. It isn't an opiate med. It's primarily for stress and headaches due to muscle tension. If someone told you they were hydrocodone, you got beat.
Well my doctor lied to me then. I have an herniated disc as well as a bulging disc. He gave me this pill as a pain for my back. I take the Norco ( hydrocodone) but the don't help anymore. So he changed to this. So your telling me that this is not a pain pill?
Your friend likely got more than one medication filled and meant to give u a hydrocodone or maybe not but he gave u a ferocet my dear. Sorry for ur disappointment. But that pill is definitely not a real pain pill. It may helpwith some pain but not like a oxycodone or hydrocodone. It just depends on the type of pain.
I was with a person in the pharmacy when he got these out and the bottle definately says hydrocodone it 50mg 100%
As used in parts 1301 through 1308 and part 1312 of the Code of Federal Regulations Title 21, the following terms shall have the meanings specified:
(30) The term narcotic drug means any of the following whether produced directly or indirectly by extraction from substances of vegetable origin or independently by means of chemical synthesis or by a combination of extraction and chemical synthesis:
(i) Opium, opiates, derivatives of opium and opiates, including their isomers, esters, ethers, salts, and salts of isomers, esters, and ethers whenever the existence of such isomers, esters, ethers and salts is possible within the specific chemical designation. Such term does not include the isoquinoline alkaloids of opium.
(ii) Poppy straw and concentrate of poppy straw.
(iii) Coca leaves, except coca leaves and extracts of coca leaves from which coke, ecgonine and derivatives of ecgonine or their salts have been removed.
(iv) Coke, its salts, optical and geometric isomers, and salts of isomers.
(v) Ecgonine, its derivatives, their salts, isomers and salts of isomers.
(vi) Any compound, mixture, or preparation which contains any quantity of any of the substances referred to in paragraphs (b)(31)(i) through (v) of this section. [13]
A 1984 amendment to 21 USC (Controlled Substances Act), Section 802 expanded and revised definition of "narcotic drug", including within term poppy straw, coke, and ecgonine. [14]
This pill is NOT narcotic, it IS a barbiturate. The old formulation did not fall under controlled substance classification but the new formulation does due to a change in the amount of analgesic (Tylenol). This is generic fioricet, there IS a narcotic version - fioricet w/ codeine #3.
So depending on the formulation your doc is prescribing and your pharmacy providing it is neither narcotic nor a controlled substance. It is used for severe tension headache and a last ditch effort for patients who do not respond to other migraine treatments.
Yes, I have a prescription of these and they ARE a narcotic as mentioned because of the barbiturate in them.
This IS a narcotic. I believe the word you were looking for is "opiate" meaning it was derived from the opium poppy. This is certainly not an opioid analgesic, but itIS a narcotic barbituate.
A narcotic and a barbiturate is NOT the same thing! They fall into two different classes of drugs. Do some research.. for ppl with questions the best thing to do is ask your DR! You can't follow everything on this forum bc some don't have a clue what they are talking about which could be very dangerous!
Two doctors told me they have just switched this pill to narcotic status. The pharmacy also told me the same thing. Some say yes and some say no! So who knows??
This is a barbiturate and has sedative effects. Its prescribed for migraine headaches. It is not a narcotic. It does not give you euphoria like hydocodone, oxycodone, etc. If abused it will put you into a heavy sedation that doesn't feel so good. Very addictive and dangerous drug if abused. Withdrawals from this med are dangerous as with any barbiturate. I have taken these in previous years for migraines.
