Round Small Pill White With V On One Side Line Other
UpdatedIve got high blood pressure and have been taking a small round pink pill but when i went to get my refill the pill is small but white and has what looks like a v on one side and the numbers 3972 on the other side. Im suppose to be taking 10 mg of lisinopril. Can you tell me what this pill is. I am so confused because of the different kinds of pills for my brand of medicine I take. Plus I also feel light headed, fuzzy and sick to my stomach. It probably dont have anything to do with this pill but just want to be on the safe side. Why do they make different kinds of pills for lisinopril 10 mg?

The reason there are different pills available is because Lisinopril is a generic medication, not a name brand. The name brands would be Prinivil or Zestril.
When a medication is available as a generic, it is usually manufactured by several different companies and what your pharmacy has in stock, at any given time, can vary, depending on who was offering the cheapest supply, when they had to reorder. This helps them keep costs down for their customers.
The pill you received with the 3792 V on it also contains 10mgs of Lisinopril, it is just made by a different company than the other one that you were getting. This one is manufactured by Vintage Pharmaceuticals.

Are there any other questions?
VA just gave my husband the same v 3972 40mg for htn. After the second dose he he came dizzy, light headed and nauseous and is headed BACK to VA because he's falling over. After reading the post from the other person, i am now convinced it's the medication. What government entity does this adverse reaction get reported to?

My husband has been taking lisinopril for several years, has had no changes in his other meds and no pain or fever or other s/s of illness. Being that another person has had the SAME problem with the same medication ( different dose) could it be in the compounding company or the fact that this is NOT a scored tablet and VA makes the veteran CUT THEM IN HALF? We learned in nursing school to NEVER CUT AN UNSCORED TABLET BECAUSE THE AMOUNT OF MEDICATION CANNOT BE GUARANTEED TO BE EVENLY SPREAD WITHIN THE PILL. The patient will either overdose or not get enough of the med.
