Round Brown Pill M 57

Round brown/tannish pill with imprint of M on top and 57 on bottom. Hatch mark in the middle. Nothing on the other side.

Hi Marc,

Unfortunately this pill description does not turn up under any of the U.S. prescription drug databases. I also tried searching a several different variations of the imprint (M 59, M 53, M 52, etc); but no luck. Odds are that it could be either manufactured outside of the U.S. or that it is an over the counter medication, as OTC meds aren't required to be listed in the drug databases.

If you're able to, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. Also double check the marking if you think there's anything more to it than what you stated.

This may be a little late, but that pill is Previcox for dogs. It's a pill used for arthritis and joint pain, and also for pain in general for dogs.

Might be K 57 (oxycodone 20mg)
looks similar to a M 57
